Introduction The main emphasis of the Steamboats Parenting Workshop is to help prevent family problems before they start. We offer information on divorce, stepfamilies, child abuse, cults and drug abuse. So far, most of my clients have been juvenile delinquents, incarcerated in state institutions; adult victims of child abuse; and drug and alcohol recovery cases. It's much better to deal with family problems when they're still minor. Reading books is a good place to start. Back in the 1950s, the parents of the Baby Boom generation had only one book to answer their questions. Now there are hundreds of good books based on study, experience, and research. Instead of reinventing the wheel, learn state of the art techniques and theories. Reading up on parenting will help you make your family stronger and happier.
