(Seattle, WA) July 29, 2005 - Great American Journeys, the newest U.S. cruise line and operator of the Columbia Queen riverboat, announces 2006 season rates, a new Two Nation Cruise Tour Vacation and an extended sailing season.

The Columbia Queen riverboat, which has been operating 8-night cruise vacations on the Columbia, Snake and Willamette rivers since April 2005, will begin its 2006 sailing season on February 17, 2006. Encouraged by increasingly temperate weather in the Pacific Northwest and avid interest from travelers, Great American Journeys will operate 11 more Columbia & Snake river cruises in 2006 than were run in 2005. A total of 42 scheduled Columbia Queen cruises will run through the 2006 season which ends January 6, 2007.

2006 rates range from a low of $1,499 per person in a category-C stateroom on Value-Season dates, to $4,659 per person occupying a Jr. Suite on Premium Season dates. Rates include all shore excursions, a one-night pre-cruise hotel accommodation in Portland, Oregon, and much more.

Guests who book their 2006 cruise at least six-months in advance earn discounts under Great American Journeys' Early Booking Bonus program. Discount levels differ based on the category of stateroom booked, and range from $200-$350 per person. Early Booking Bonuses may also be combined with other special discounts and offers.

Another addition to the riverboat's 2006 season is a new 8-night Two Nation Cruise Tour Vacation embarking from the Columbia River at Vancouver, WA. This new itinerary will include 3-nights of pre-cruise shore tours (aboard the company's custom touring coaches) in Seattle, Washington and Victoria, British Columbia, and a lower Columbia River/Pacific Northwest 5-night cruise featuring Astoria, Oregon, Portland's Willamette River, and excursions through the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area.
