Oyster Bay is also home to an old ghost boat in transition. I heard this boat used to operate in St. Augustine, but is on its way to New York State. Right now its paddlewheel is a crows' perch.

Speaking of ghosts, our tour guides took us to dinner at Harry's Restaurant, which is the home of the ghost of Catalina, a woman who lived in the old building in the 1700s. You can read about her ghost here: GhostTracker.com

Every attraction in St. Augustine claims to have ghosts. You can even take a ghost tour, led by Flagler College drama students (GhostsandGravestones.com). However, seeing a ghost can be tricky. I swear on a stack of Bibles that i saw a ghost in Harry's Restaurant. A petite woman who could have been Catalina pulled up a chair at our table. I mentioned it to my dinner companions, but nobody took me seriously. Once outside, the weather seemed so cold that i rushed back to the Casa Monica and packed my bags.
