Here is the Mercury. We found this picture in some of my father's things. His father, Omar Hepner, was involved in the US Geodetic Survey that mapped the country around 1900. I remember grandad once telling us kids that he became "tired of mucking around waste deep in the Mississippi River in December," so he quit. Shortly after this he and his brother emigrated to Saskatchawan, Canada, where he arranged for a mailorder Irish bride (my grandmother). - JH
